Popular Show Uses 94Fifty Skill Measurement Technology During its Recent Series on NBA Draft Picks.
Dublin, OH. (June 21, 2011) ESPN Sport Science recently featured 94Fifty’s Total Skill Measurement products for several of its basketball segments. The popular sports show released three segments during NBA draft week in June highlighting the skills of Derrick Williams, Brandon Knight, and Kawhi Leonard while using the 94Fifty system.
“We are excited to be able work with ESPN Sport Science and their team to bring the latest technology products to sports and their viewership. Our products are the first of its kind built specifically to measure basketball skill.” Said Mike Crowley, CEO of 94Fifty Sports Technologies.
The 94Fifty system, which is the first of its kind to embed inertial motions sensors inside the ball to analyze muscle memory skill, helped ESPN Sport Science’ staff to analyze the shooting mechanics of all three players as they prepared for the NBA draft. Each player was selected within the first 15 picks of the first round.
“We have been extremely impressed by how easy it is for our staff to use this product and the detail and quantity of information it provides us,” added John Brenkus, Creator and Host of ESPN Sport Science. “94Fifty provides us with great flexibility to test skills as we show our audience the science behind the level of skill that these players bring to sports. They have truly set a new standard for sports technologies in bringing a product like this to the market.”
During each five minute segment, the 94Fifty system was used to measure each player’s shot speed, shot release angle, shot entry angle to the basket, and ball rotation. The Company sells the same product to College, High School and AAU programs in the U.S. and has customers in North America, Europe, and Asia.
