94Fifty Launches Total Skill Products to Team Basketball Market

94Fifty® Sports Technologies Inc. launches its first market-ready products to be sold to high schools, colleges, AAU programs, and national basketball organizations.

Foxboro, MA (December 1, 2010). 94Fifty Sports Technologies announced today the launch of its 94Fify total skill development suite to College, High School, AAU and youth league organizations. The product is said to be the first of its kind in any sport, allowing coaches and trainers to analyze shooting, ball-handling, and core-strength skills that are heavily dependent on muscle memory. The product immediately quantifies those skills and produces personal diagnostic workouts based on a player’s skill level, enabling rapid improvement. The system stores all player and team skill history in 94Fifty’s online community for coaches and players to monitor progress.

“This technology has never been available for coaches and trainers of team-based sports like basketball and soccer, and our 94Fifty product is the first of its kind in the world.” We have shown remarkable results with thousands of players at all levels.” Said Michael Crowley, 94Fifty Founder and CEO. “With our products, which includes basketballs embedded with an array of tiny motion sensors, coaches now have any easy and very fast way to diagnose specific strengths and weaknesses in a player’s skills and to prescribe workouts to maximize how a player improves based on those measurements. We know that skill development accelerates when it is visible and measurable, and this product gives coaches an unparalleled tool to motivate player behavior, see the future of their talent pool and to build depth at every position to help them win year after year.”

“Fifty is one of the most compelling player development tools I’ve seen for coaches at any level.” added Jim Burson, who notched over 540 victories at the collegiate level and is the past president of the NABC, “Coaches have never had the ability to track this type of information, but the benefits of doing so to players and programs are exceptional.”

Crowley added that early product delivery began in November, 2010 to a select group of college and high school customers, with full production slated for Q1, 2011.
