LanCon Premier Re-Seller of 94Fifty® Basketball skill technology for German basketball market.
Dublin, OH (May 7, 2012) – Basketball programs and players throughout Germany are about to go high tech with the announcement of LanCon basketball as the first and presently only authorized re-seller of 94Fifty’s advanced skill measurement technology in Germany.
94Fifty’s Total Skill Measurement system, launched to the U.S. market in 2010, is the first product of its kind to measure and diagnose how well a player’s skills have developed. The system then utilizes those measurements to prescribe proven, personalized methods to improve shooting mechanics, shot speed, shooting arc, power dribbling, hand-speed, mental coordination, and many other skills that have been traditionally impossible to measure and track.
“We are excited to add LanCon as our first authorized re-seller for this market. They have an extremely impressive knowledge of the game and bring over 100 years of collective basketball experience to clubs that are looking to increase their competitive advantage.” said Michael Crowley, 94Fifty Founder and CEO. “Their business experience and basketball background matches our expectations for operating at a high level in a high-growth basketball market, promoting 94fifty concepts, and marketing and delivering the 94Fifty experience.”
“The 94Fifty system is truly a breakthrough for the way basketball skills can be evaluated, measured, diagnosed and improved. Its precision is exceptional and provides coaches and players access to information we have only had limited or no access to in the past.” Said Gijs Langevoort, LanCon CEO. “We think that 94Fifty’s scientific approach to measuring and developing skill is ideally suited for the European game and we are excited about bringing this capability to clubs and players in Germany. The 94Fifty technology will add tremendous value to anyone who is serious about developing skills at any level.”
Langevoort and his group, based in Landstede Sportcenter in Zwolle, Netherlands, bring an impressive basketball background to the relationship. Langevoort was a professional league team player, while Co-owner, Sjoerd, also played professionally and is a regular clinician and teacher to young players. To bring the technology to Germany, LanCon has teamed up with former German Olympian and renowned player and coach Peter Kruesmann. Sales efforts have already begun and top clubs and teams will begin to receive their systems in the coming weeks. With the competitive level for basketball growing globally, 94Fifty brings a new competitive advantage to increase the number of versatile players necessary to compete at the international level.
